HSE Approved Centre First Aid at Work Instructors Course 3 day Course
Candidate Prerequisites:
Candidates are required to be in possession of a current First Aid at Work certificate (Nurses exempt). Some training experience is essential. A coaching or training certificate would be an advantage but not essential.
Course Content:
- Course Administration
- Health & Safety
- First Aid theory – Adult/Child/Baby
- First Aid teaching practice – practical
- First Aid codes of practice
- Administration and Record keeping
- Theory of Learning
- First Aid teaching practice – theory
- First Aid assessment practice – theory/practical
All candidates will be required to deliver a first aid theory and a first aid practical teaching session and assess and give feedback on other candidates teaching sessions. All candidates will receive a course joining pack prior to commencement of course, this will contain information and resources to help candidates prepare for their teaching sessions.
Certification
Candidates are assessed continually during the course and on the final afternoon will be given feedback and course results. On successful completion certification is valid for three years.
